Brief: Every day in the UK 12 men kill themselves.

in 2017 we’ve approached CALM, a UK charity dedicated to preventing male suicide, to challenge the toxic expectations of masculinity that prevent men from seeking help. 

Insight: Social media compels men to perpetuate gender stereotypes instead of sharing their vulnerability.

Idea: On International Men’s Day, we shone a light on this social media behaviour by revealing the real men behind the pictures they share.

Brief: For Christmas 2018, Lidl wanted to show customers that to ‘upgrade’ their Christmas they didn’t have to trade up to more premium supermarkets. They could do it at Lidl by buying the Deluxe range.

Idea: On social, we transformed this upgrade narrative into an over the top UGC activation. And when the #EltonJohnLewis ad went live, we made our campaign a Lidl bit funny-er…

Brief: Transgender people all over the world face discrimination. Violations of their rights range from denial of healthcare, work and housing to criminalisation, rape and murder.

We’ve approached Global Butterflies, a consultancy firm that helps businesses become trans inclusive, and Brand Advance, a communications platform that connects brands with diversity audiences, to take a stand for trans rights.

Insight: Although many have heard of transgender people, just a few have ever heard their voice. The voice of the transgender community is trapped behind a barrier of prejudice and ignorance.

Idea: On International Transgender Day of Visibility, Alexa transitioned into Alex to allow the general public to have their first conversation with a transgender person, and sign the world’s first voice-activated petition to support trans rights.

For this idea there was no brief or insight. Just a FCKing opportunity.

And we didn’t chicken out.

Brief: Enterprise wanted to increase national rentals at summer, when they register a 7% dip in demand as customers switch to trains and coaches for their weekends away.

Insight: Interestingly enough, at summer we registered a spike of angry tweets around public transports. Passengers hate travelling on trains and coaches during the hot season.

Idea: We brought thousands of these angry tweets to life. Through contextual media targeting, we served our ads to passengers who were travelling on trains or coaches, providing them with a coping mechanism that reminded them about the benefits of a rental car against the nuisances of public transports.

Brief: Lidl is a supermarket challenger brand with a tough job: convince customers that they can go big on quality and little on price.

Every Christmas this job gets even tougher, as customers trade up to more premium competitors for their Christmas shopping.

To keep customers in store, we needed to add quality-value to the brand.

Insight: Christmas is a time for families to come together, but we are spending more time with our phones than with the people sat next to us.

Idea: We suggested Lidl take a broader approach on “quality”. By standing not only for quality food, but also for quality time.

Brief: 95% of Argentinians have only dreamed of travelling to Europe as it’s too expensive.

Norwegian, the first low-cost long haul airline carrier, wanted to launch their new routes from Buenos Aires to Europe to millennials in Argentina.

Insight: Argentina is in the top 10 countries using Tinder. Millennials in Argentina love to go on dates.

Idea: Partnering up with travel influencer (and handsome latino chap) Dustin Luke, we showed Argentinians that there’s plenty more fish overseas.

Brief: Lidl wanted an idea to showcase the non-food products of their middle aisle (Middle of Lidl) while creating urgency as their stock is limited.

Idea: We gave customers 15 seconds to stop these products from falling. Into someone else’s arms.

Brief: Christmas is a key trading period for supermarkets, but a challenging one for Lidl as customers don’t believe that Lidl has everything they need for Christmas.

We needed to keep customers in store by driving conversation around our Christmas range.

Insight: Customers are very vocal about Lidl’s value, but less so at Christmas when everyone wants to go big.

Idea: We offered them a Christmas deal that they could not not tweet about.
